The best political chats don’t happen in boardrooms — and they rarely show up in briefing notes. They happen in pubs, over a pint or three. That’s the spirit of our podcast, Craft Politics.

We’re Andrew Percy, a former Member of Parliament in the UK, and Joseph Lavoie, a former senior advisor to Canadian prime ministers and cabinet ministers. Between us, we’ve logged decades in politics, government, and business. Which means we’ve made mistakes you can learn from. But we’ve also shared plenty of laughs (and a few too many beers) while making sense of the way politics really works.

We take you behind the headlines to explain why politics matters to you, your company, and your community. From populism to trade wars, elections to regulations, we’ll break down the trends that are reshaping how leaders make decisions.

Expect candid takes from Andrew, sharp insights from Joseph, and the kind of banter you’d overhear if you eavesdropped on two old friends at the pub. Some of it will be witty, some of it might be inappropriate, and none of it will be polite for politeness’ sake.

So pull up a stool, grab a pint, and lower your expectations—politics doesn’t have to be boring — and we’ll prove it, one episode at a time.
